Being different from general public buildings, buildings of hospitals feature high energy consumption, strict standard for safety, complex workflow, and strict standards for indoor and outdoor environment. Currently, China's hospital buildings are facing two issues: high energy consumption and poor indoor room environment. While in the Evaluation Standard for Green Hospital Building, energy saving and indoor room environment quality account for 55% and 45% respectively during the design and operation stage. Therefore, high-efficiency, energy saving and qualified indoor environment are indispensable for high star-level green healthcare buildings.
